We find ourselves at the end of a spectacular summer season here in Panama City Beach – and many wonderful things are going on.

Panama City’s new International Airport project is moving forward. The FAA has announced that its funding is in place and the Airport has selected the highest bidder to purchase the old airport site. Final permits are in hand and construction will start very soon.

With construction well under way, Simon Property Group’s nearby Pier Park shopping center has announced that its Phase 1 retail shops will be complete and open in February 2008. Target, Longhorn Steakhouse, Panera Bread, and the 16-theater Grand Cinema are already open. Fresh Market has announced that it will build a store in Pier Park among other exciting new retailers in coming phases.

As the city grows and adds new experiences for its residents and visitors each day, it’s no wonder Business 2.0 Magazine selected Panama City as the best city in the nation for buying property.  We couldn’t agree more and are pleased to announce that we will soon be ready for potential homeowners to select the home they want to purchase at Eventide.
